Sally has an unsettling job-performance meeting with her boss; startled by revelations from David, Sally and Emma consider the pros and cons of having a baby, and weigh possible donors; Emma lands in the hospital.

Sally accuses Kate of trying to undermine her relationship with Emma; Emma overplays her film scene, leading to an angry confrontation with the director.

After a subdued birthday celebration with her co-workers, Sally heads home for a surprise dinner with her stodgy parents, who are shocked when Emma shares details of her lesbian relationship with their daughter.

Bored witless after a 10-year relationship with her fawning partner, Sally has a chance encounter with a Bohemian singer and actress that propels her into uncharted sexual and emotional terrain.
