Connect the satellite cable to your receiver
Want help connecting the cables to your receiver or Genie Mini? Here’s step-by-step instructions.
DETAILED STEPS
Connect your DIRECTV satellite cable to a receiver
Connect your DIRECTV satellite cable to a Genie® Mini
- Find the loose end of the RG6 coaxial cable that is attached to a wall plate near your receiver. It may be a single cable with 1 coaxial end or a twin cable with 2 coaxial ends.
- On the back of your receiver, look for 1 or 2 ports labeled Satellite In or SAT-In. Plug the ends of the RG6 coaxial cable into the Satellite In (SAT-In) ports on the back of your receiver. If you have 2 Satellite In ports and only 1 cable, use the Satellite In 1 port.
- If DIRECTV previously installed any adapters, plug them into the back of your receiver.
- If you have a DIRECTV DVR kit, reattach its cables. Then follow the on-screen setup.
