  • DirecTV - no local chamnells
I live in the Palm Springs, CA area and due to unsuccessful negotiations with you and local channels I currently do not have them accessible to me. I contact your rep and her response was to go to DirecTVpromise.com which is no use to me. I requested to cancel my service since you are not keeping up toYour agreement with providing all local channels she said I would be charged an early termination fee so I will conintue my two year agreement with however I will discounce service with my cell service and go to another provider since you are unable to provide any compensation for not providing what you agreed to. I've tried to be a dedicated customer however you are not the AT&T which I used to work with

  • Local channels on 18 in rd dish
I think I know the answer to this, but I want to be sure.I have an 18 in rnd dish connected to a HR20-700. I have no problem setting it up and have readings in the high 80's and 90's. I understand this is SD only unless I upgrade the dish. But this works fine right now. This set up is for camping - I have the genie system connected to an 5LBN at home, but I have set up the 18 in rnd dish in the yard for practice. My location is SC - zip 29550 and my locals are Myrtle Beach. My question is I do not get local channels. I looked on the DIRECTV forum and found the listing with an excel file called TPM_MAP _DOMESTIC_090915.Based on this file / list, my locals are on either D12 or D14 on sat's 99W or 103W. Based on my reading, I cannot receive these satellites with my 18 in rnd dish.Am I correct in this? And to get these locals I would need a dish that receives these other satelites. I understand there is most likely a radius where I could receive local channels and not outside that circle because of spot signals. Thanks in advance
