Watch DIRECTV On Demand

With DIRECTV On Demand, you have instant access to thousands of the hottest shows and movies from the networks included in your package. Go to Ch. 1000, Ch. 1100 or press MENU on your remote to access On Demand.

When you find a title to watch, choose your playback option:
  • Watch now – title will begin download to watch

  • Add to queue – title may not be available, but will download to your playlist when available
Many networks offer On Demand programming. Add a 1 in front of a channel number to check. For example, Discovery Channel (Ch. 278) offers on demand content on Ch. 1278. Download time is dependent on Internet speed and bandwidth.

Troubleshooting

If you experience buffering during playback, or your title was only partially recorded, it’s likely due to a weak or intermittent internet connection. Delete the title from your playlist, search for it (MENU > Search) and attempt to download it again. Or try another title.

To confirm your receiver is connected to the internet, press the DASH (-) button on your remote. You may need to press it twice. If internet is not detected, see how to reconnect your receiver to the internet.

Heads up: Once connected or re-connected to the internet, the On Demand library populates within 24 hours.

Search for a movie, show, or network to watch on demand

It’s a snap to search our growing on-demand library. You can watch many new shows that are available soon after airing. Plus, you can use the Autoplay feature to binge-watch your favorite series.

You can explore titles under the On Demand or Watch Now sections of the main menu. If you’re looking for a specific title, you can search by entering keywords or using voice search.

Your search will show results from DIRECTV channels as well as from AppleTV+, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Max, Paramount+ with SHOWTIME, and Disney+. If you have a subscription to any of those services, you can link directly to them from your search results.

If the title you’re looking for is available on more than one service, all your watching options will be shown (in Ways to Watch). Available titles for purchase or rent are displayed in search results with a “$” shown underneath the title.

If you’re looking for a specific episode of a series, your search results will include the ability to navigate through all available episodes of that series. You can also bookmark any search results to watch later.
