How do I record my sport team’s games in the DIRECTV app?
- Simply log into your DIRECTV app and at the top search enter your team’s name.
- Click on the game
- Click Record Options: “Record This Game”, “Record Team”
- All games for your team will be set to record.
What if my game goes into overtime?
No need to worry when your team’s games go overtime or extra innings. DIRECTV will now auto-extend the recordings of your sports event, so you don’t miss any action if the game goes overtime. This is limited to supported leagues and events as shown below.
Which sports is the auto-extended recording feature available for?
Sports auto-extended recording feature applies to the NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA leagues, NCAA Football and Basketball (Division I), Soccer (UEFA, FIFA), PGA Tour Golf, English Premier League and German Bundesliga.
Heads Up! Extended sports recordings are contingent upon third-party recording service availability and varies by packages, channel subscriptions & billing region. Blackout restrictions apply. Data connection is required.

How do I view live scores?
DIRECTV now allows you to view game tiles with live scores available. Your team’s game tiles will now be easier to find with team vs team posters. After the game is final, team matchup pages will have live scores up to 1 hour. You can turn off live scores at any time in settings.
Heads Up! Live scores will only be available for tiles with new posters only.

Can I turn off the live score feature?
Yes, you can. Follow these steps to turn off the live score feature:
- Log into your DIRECTV app
- Under “Manage Settings”, select “Preferences”
- Tap the button for “Show Game Scores” to disable this preference.
