Get help with DIRECTV error codes 620-625

Learn how to fix a Video Connection Lost error associated with codes 620, 621, 622, 623, 624, or 625 on your DIRECTV Genie and Gemini devices.

What causes these errors?

If you see Video Connection Lost or error codes 620, 621, 622, 623, 624, or 625 on your TV screen, one of your DIRECTV receivers has lost connection.

Here's what to do

Follow the prompts on your TV screen to begin troubleshooting. These tips include:

  • Checking the connecting cables on your Genie Mini or Gemini receiver(s) for a tight fit.
  • On your main Genie receiver, press and release the red button quickly to restart receivers.
    (Heads up: this will interrupt your service for a few minutes.)
  • Reset your Genie Mini or Gemini receiver(s) by pressing the red reset button.

Check the Main Receiver

  • Find your Main Receiver. Make sure its cables are tightly connected. It may be in a different room.
  • Find the flap on the bottom right of the device, open it, and press the red button.
This will interrupt everyone's video for 5-10 minutes.
