  • Piece of satellite dish found on the ground
I found a piece of the satellite dish on the ground. Looks like a sort of cover. Direct TV is still working. Do I have to do anything?

  • Can I uninstall and remove my Dish?
We are new residents of a property and there is an unconnected DirecTV dish in the yard. Would I be able to uninstall it and just throw it away or would I call a local store and have them come take it? There is a pole in the ground and all. We are trying to put in a fence and this would be in the way of it. Anything would help, thanks.

  • No signal strength after Delta blew thru
Hi All,   We got power back on last night (was off ~ 35 hrs) and were looking forward to watching TV, but the box showed "771 searching for signal". I ASSumed it was the dish because of the storm, went up on the roof and checked it and it's pretty darned solid. Checked the wiring and it's OK. I tried wracking on the dish (might have moved 1/4") while the wife watched the sig meter on 101 and it did change. Tried using my 950-2250 detector and promptly lost everything. It was showing improvement, when I called down to the LR, all was gone.  Makes me wonder if there's some other problem I'm overlooking. SWM? LNB? Any other ideas?   BTW, the DTV installer did a superbly crappy job hanging this dish, I can see from the ground the post is not vertical. Don't know how they originally got a signal in the 1st place. Sure gonna make my life a PIA!   Russ

  • On demand not working
Anytime I try to watch something on demand, I receive this response: "sorry! We have no programs at this time that match the filter you selected". I’ve already tried resetting the boxes. They are all connected to the internet. We have no problem with any of our other devices in regards to internet service. Researching this, it looks like DirecTV has no clue what to do about the problem. Is this true? If so, are these grounds to cancel the service without a penalty? We pay entirely too much to not have complete functionality. Please don’t tell us to restart the boxes or reconnect to the internet. These are things we have already done numerous times.
