  • Intermittent Sound using Apple TV and Samsung 4K TV
    Hi, I recently upgraded my TV from a LG B7 oled to a Samsung QLED QN90A. I am using the DirecTV Stream app on my Apple TV 4K (2nd generation) to play live TV. DirecTV Stream worked fine on my old LG tv. On the new Samsung QN90A I am having issues where there is no sound/audio when switching between channels. Sometimes the sound will play and sometimes the sound will not play. This is while watching live TV. I do not have the Apple TV hooked up to a HDMI 2.1 port it is hooked up to a regular old HDMI 2.0 port using a standard 4K 18 Gbps cable. Basically my issue is when I launch the DirecTV Stream app on my Apple TV there is about a 50/50 chance of there being audio or no audio. The video shows fine there is just sometimes no audio. Switching between channels also has it's issues sometimes there is perfect audio when switching to a new channel and sometimes there is absolutely no audio at all when on a new channel. I have tried updating the Samsung TV OS software and have also tried restarting the Apple TV itself through the menu. Both of those didn't work. I don't really want to switch providers to another service because DirecTV Stream app is one of the only ones with the unique channels I sometimes watch. Any ideas or help with this is appreciated. I am using the default TV speakers for audio no extras.

  • 771 on a legacy system in Phoenix
    Its a house well-mounted SL3 dish which has worked perfectly for over 25 years. a multiswitch drives three different HR24 receivers. The dish is aligned nearly perfect with very high signal strength across the board.  The 771 is being triggered apparently by the 103 ca and cb signal being intermittent: on either page the strength bar can show 86 for a few seconds and then disappear for a few seconds.  Both channels display this behavior.  which certainly is the cause for the 771 fault.  Selecting a different sat 103 transponder fixes the intermittancy, but the transponder assignment wont lock - its always back on the faulty transponder 1 when you  return to the page. I've replaced the LNB with one I know works.  I have not moved/tweaked the dish yet, that's the next step.  What's happening here? it's also as if the 103 sat has moved....

  • Was charged $431.00 for old DIRECTV equipment
    I was a customer of DirecTV for 23 years and paid my bills electronically every month. The perfect customer. We moved from a single family to an apartment. When we moved, I put everything in storage, including the old pieces of equipment from DirecTV. I was notified that I had to return it after I put in storage. I started getting calls from DirecTV and asked if I could return once I had a chance to get into my storage to locate these pieces. I received a bill for $431.00 which was very pricey for some old equipment. All of the money I have paid to DirecTV over the 23 years and they are nickel and diming me on this? Getting someone on the phone to discuss was almost impossible and when you get them on the phone, you can barely understand what they are saying. I finally spoke to someone in DirecTV and they said they would love to help me but the bill was out of their hands and normally they would have just credited it back to me. Than I get a call from someone at Credence collections. I would love for AT&T management to hear what he said to me. Very strange. To get rid of this I asked if I could just pay 1/2 and he said that AT&T was not flexible and that I had to pay the entire amount. If I didn't do this soon, it would be reported to the credit bureau. His call to me was during this Coronavirus crisis. You would think they could pick a more appropriate time to make this call. I have been an outstanding customer of DirecTV for 23 years and this is how I get treated? Unless this gets corrected, I will never do business with AT&T again. I will also let other people know on the internet how terribly they treat great customers. This is such a scam asking for this old equipment back and charging $431.00 for it.

  • Genie 2 new install
    So we want our bedroom list to not show in the other rooms. We have all clients set to OFF for home sharing. This is a brand new genie 2 set up yesterday. No matter what we do all rooms show the list. Is there a trick we’re missing? They want to send us another Genie 2 suggesting this brand new one is defective.
