I've had my subscription to Direct TV since August of 2016, and since then (to date) my subscription monthly fee has more than doubled.  This month my bill was over $78 and at the level I am subscribed to, the programming, other than the news channels are much below par.  I am a Senior Citizen on a fixed income and simply can't afford these rising rates for Direct.  I feel subscribers are being "taken" by these high prices and very poor program listings on any level.  Also noticed that a few channels were removed from my chosen level.  I think, to be fair, Direct TV should just have ONE package for subscribers, which would include most of the shows listed on the higher levels.  A fair price for this service would be $50/Month for every one.  Maybe the Government should investigate this price gouging. 

I own a home in a townhome community and the HOA has recently decided that all satellite TV customers must have their dish relocated if it is on the roof. Of course mine is on the roof. I called Direct to set up an appointment to have the dish relocated and of course now I'm stuck with the $49 bill. I also have the equipment protection plan. What gives? What exactly does the protection plan cover if not the basics of TV such as the dish? I've become so frustrated with the rising cost and poor customer service that I seriously consider moving to another provider.
