  • Using an HR54-700 with DirecTV Sreaming
I recently  dropped U-Verse and replaced it with DirecTV Streaming. My LG Smart TV will not allow the DTV app to load. AT&T advised that I needed to rent a 'box' for $5/month extra. I have an HR54-700 from a prior DTV subscription. Can I use it to connect to the net and sent the DTV Streaming signal to my LG TV? If so, how? Thanks in advance!

  • Fraud
received a call supposedly form at&t offering 50% off my direct tv account. return # 866 514 1853. they did not know my monthly bill amount. they offered to give me 50% off for 2 years, no contract, all i have to do is give them 6 months in advance. around $600. said to buy ebay gift cards, as ebay is paying for the discount. ( now why would they do that???) when i balked at the idea of gift cards my man hung up. i can't prove it but this must be a scam deal.

  • Scammers! Why weren’t we informed!
I was contacted yesterday by “att Directv” with a special offer to cut my bill in half. They had my name address phone number and bill amount. You had to pay 6 months in advance to get the promotion. I almost gave them my card number! When I called the real att directv they told me they were well aware of the scam! Correct me if I’m wrong but the company has all our email addresses and we were not informed, why? When my bill is late I receive an email!

  • What the H*** am I paying for?
When I purchased my house in 2018, I purchased a package from Century Link.  I went with CTL because of my previous positive experiences with AT&T.  As I added things to my smart home, my internet speeds went down to < 10 Mbps.  Meanwhile, I have Direct TV.  I'm basically happy with DTV, but here's what I am paying for: One Choice package for $92.99 per month.  Protection Plan for $20.99 per month (what is this?) TV Access fee for $14.00 per month (what is this?) Advanced Receiver for $15 per month (what is this?) Regional Sports fee for $3.80 per month TV Access fee for $7.00 per month Sales Tad for $1.70 per month. Total Direct TV $155.48 per month . . . yikes! Now I am getting ready to get rid of Century Link.  I want to keep the DirectTV but I need to understand what I am paying for.  DTV advertises the choice package at $69.99 per month.  I tried to log onto DTV chat, but nobody answers. I left my phone # and e-mail on the chat and someone called me but I couldn't understand him with all the background noise and his thick accent. I need to talk to someone about what I am paying for and what I am getting.  I need to justify this bill.  I want to know ~ what I will be paying per month for a long term, ~ 5 years or more.  I'm not interested in getting a year 1 price and then the caveat "will be higher in year 2" sales (Edited per community guidelines). If I can't get any help, I will look at other providers.  TIA for any help

  • DIRECT TV and DSL Internet
Hello,  Has anyone had any experience with DIRECT TV and DSL and if so, does it work well?  I have DIRECT TV and Hughesnet satellite internet. It is too slow to stream or playback, there's no way to change that.  The only other option in my area is DSL Internet.  My nextdoor neighbor has DSL and it works well with ATT TV and they are also able to stream Netflix, Hulu etc.  I'm trying to find out if I can keep DIRECT TV or need to switch to ATT TV or some other streaming service.   Thanks in advance.
