Who is the 2025 Bachelor?
Grant Ellis is stepping into the role of The Bachelor for season 29. He stole the hearts of fans in 2024 on Jenn Tran’s season of The Bachelorette. In an emotional elimination, Grant was sent home right before hometowns during the Week 6 rose ceremony. Now, he’s ready to start his own journey to find the love of his life.
The 31-year-old is a day trader who lives in Houston, Texas. Originally from New Jersey, he’s a self-proclaimed mama’s boy and goofball. Grant played basketball for Iona University and Albertus Magnus College before going on to play professionally in Puerto Rico, Mexico and the Dominican Republic, but his career ended due to an injury. He’s only the second Black man to be cast in the lead role of The Bachelor since the show debuted in 2002. The first was Matt James in 2021.
