What is ‘No Good Deed’ About?

Lydia Morgan (Lisa Kudrow) and Paul Morgan (Ray Romano) are empty nesters looking to sell their 1920s Spanish-style home in Los Angeles. But they need to find the right buyer. The series focuses on three couples with assorted pasts who all believe that the beautiful home in the coveted Los Feliz neighborhood will be the answer to their problems. While the villa appears to be the perfect house, it seems there are some dark and dangerous secrets the Morgans aren’t telling the potential buyers. Who will end up buying the house? And what secrets will be revealed? 

The show is created by Liz Feldman, who was also the creator of the popular dark comedy drama Dead To Me. Its executive producers include Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, Christie Smith and Silver Tree. 

Is ‘No Good Deed’ A Movie?

The new Netflix series shouldn’t be confused with the 2014 film of the same name. The movie No Good Deed is a psychological thriller starring Taraji P. Henson as a stay-at-home mother named Terri and Idris Elba as an escaped convict named Colin. When Colin asks Terri if he can come into her house to use her phone, what seems like a simple act of kindness quickly turns into a fight to save her family as she learns about his dangerous motives.

One of the best reasons to watch No Good Deed might just be this star-studded cast. While fans of Friends and Everybody Loves Raymond are used to seeing Lisa Kudrow and Ray Romano in lighthearted, comedic roles, the actors will get to explore a darker comedic style in No Good Deed. • Abbi Jacobson as Leslie Fisher, a clever and competitive woman who feels the Los Feliz home would be perfect for her and her wife, Sarah. 
• Poppy Liu as Sarah, Leslie’s soulful and grounded wife who has some secrets of her own. 
• Denis Leary as Mikey, an ex-con.
