Warning: Season 1 Spoilers Ahead!

After rescuing the vice president’s daughter, Maddie Redfield, Peter, Rose, Maddie and Maddie’s security detail, Chelsea Arrington, realize that another attack will be happening in 24 hours to kill President Michelle Travers and Omar Zadar at Camp David.

Peter and Rose also uncover evidence linking the President’s Chief of Staff Diane Farr to the murder of Rose’s aunt and uncle. They confront Farr at her house to try and convince her to call off the attack; however, Farr tells them that she didn’t know about the plan to assassinate the president and that she’s been cut off from communication from Vice President Redfield and Gordon Wick. Peter and Rose use Farr to get into Camp David by hiding in the trunk of her car.

Maddie, her father and Arrington fly to Camp David where the vice president says President Travers is waiting to talk to them. During the helicopter ride, Arrington becomes suspicious of the secret service men in the helicopter who are carrying large black cases. When they land, they learn that communications are down so Arrington can’t warn the president she’s in danger. Redfield takes Maddie to an underground bunker and Arrington is told to wait in another room in the Laurel Lodge.

Farr goes into the cabin to warn the Head of the Secret Service, Ben Almora, that there is a bomb on the property, but Agent Briggs shoots both Farr and Almora. Arrington attacks the agent and finds a bomb ticking down in one of the black hardshell cases. Meanwhile, Maddie tries to convince her dad to stop whatever he’s planning on doing. She tells him she won’t keep his secrets anymore and begs to be let out of the bunker, not knowing that the bomb is about to go off in a matter of minutes. Luckily, Arrington saves her and both are able to escape before the building explodes. Arrington also gets word to the president before she is killed by the bomb in Laurel Lodge.

The Secret Service takes President Travers to Marine 1, but Peter knows she’s still in danger. Peter holds the president at gunpoint and tells the agents to check for a bomb. The Secret Service finds the bomb seconds before the helicopter explodes.

Having saved the president and the vice president’s plan revealed, President Travers asks if there’s anything she can do for Peter to repay him for saving her life. He asks to know the truth about his father. After watching a video of his father’s testimony, the president tells him his dad was in the process of becoming a double agent when he was killed by a foreign assassin. Travers also offers Peter a position as a Night Agent and the season ends with Rose and Peter sharing a kiss on the tarmac before he boards a plane to start his first mission, setting up the events for season 2.

What Will ‘The Night Agent’ Season 2 Be About?

A new season of The Night Agent brings a new mission, and this time, Peter is the one ringing Night Action for help. Now officially a Night Agent, Peter is given a top-secret mission, but the op quickly goes bad and he’s forced into hiding. He discovers that there’s a mole selling leaked American intelligence and that someone has stolen enough experimental weapons to wipe out Manhattan. With the evidence of a leak in the CIA, Peter is not sure if he can trust anyone — not even Rose. Once again, the fate of the nation relies on Peter. Will he be able to find out who’s behind it in time?
