MySports Adds 65 New FOX Local Station Affiliates Ahead of Super Bowl Sunday.
MySports from DIRECTV, which includes more than 40 national sports networks and local broadcast stations, is now available across the U.S. and offers FOX in all 187 markets where DIRECTV currently carries the network.
This national presence comes just weeks after DIRECTV unveiled the groundbreaking sports package, followed by the addition of 104 FOX affiliates in Nielsen Designated Market Areas on Jan. 31 and an additional 65 FOX affiliates on Feb. 5. The complete list of FOX stations participating in MySports is below.
MySports is every sports lover’s dream. This dedicated package for sports fans gives access to FOX ahead of this Sunday’s Big Game and the Daytona 500. In addition, MySports customers can tune into the NBA All-Star Weekend on TNT and ESPN Feb. 14-16 and the NHL’s new 4 Nations Face-Off midseason international hockey tournament on TNT, TruTV and ESPN Feb. 12-20.
Sports enthusiasts who sign up for MySports before Feb. 27 can lock in the introductory rate of $49.99 monthly for the first three months, representing a $20 monthly savings.
“DIRECTV is thrilled to deliver more flexibility and choice to sports fans nationwide just in time for the kickoff of an exciting sports season,” said Vince Torres, chief marketing officer of DIRECTV. “We won’t stop there. Soon, we’ll add direct-to-consumer programming alongside live-linear content through MySports and additional genre-based options at lower price points tailored to what consumers want to watch most.”
All the national sports channels and major market-owned-and-operated local broadcast stations from sports powerhouses, including The Walt Disney Co. (ABC), Fox Corp. (FOX), and NBCUniversal (NBC), are available through MySports. DIRECTV will continue to add more ABC and NBC local station affiliates as their owners opt into the service. Warner Bros. Discovery has also worked with DIRECTV on this new, flexible option for the nation’s diehard sports fans, licensing its TBS, TNT, and TruTV networks.
In addition to the existing lineup of MySports national and local broadcast stations, DIRECTV will soon add ESPN+ to MySports at no extra cost. DIRECTV also plans to offer local sports fans an option to add regional sports networks and individual team telecasts, including the recently announced Rangers Sports Network.
Sports fans can stream MySports through the DIRECTV app on popular platforms like Roku, Amazon Fire, and Apple TV, as well as on mobile devices. MySports will also make it easier to catch all the action through game-time notifications and the ability to watch now on live TV or later through unlimited cloud DVR.
