All Star Starters

Let’s take a look at the 2024 All-Star teams. But first, a quick overview on how the players are chosen for the game.

How are Players Chosen for MLB All Star Rosters?

The rosters for the MLB All-Star Game are chosen through a combination of fan voting, player ballots and selections made by the Commissioner’s Office.

Phase 1 of voting allows fans to vote for the players they want to see start in the All-Star Game. Fans can submit up to five All-Star Ballots every 24 hours for their preferred players at each position (except for pitchers). The top two vote-getters at each position, along with the top six outfielders, advance to Phase 2.

In Phase 2, fans will choose the starting player at each position from the top two vote-getters from Phase 1. The rest of the roster, including pitchers and bench players, will be determined by player ballots and selections made by the Commissioner’s Office.

The final All-Star rosters, consisting of 32 players each (20 position players and 12 pitchers), have officially been announced.
