Taking place 200 years prior to the events of Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon will focus on the rise of the Targaryens as they conquer Westeros leading up to the event known to fans as the Dance of the Dragons, a familial war for the Iron Throne amongst members of House Targaryen that sends shockwaves through Westeros for generations to come.
