DIRECTV is entering into a multi-year agreement with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) that will amplify the mission of RMHC to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families.
As the nation’s leader in residential and commercial satellite entertainment for nearly 30 years, DIRECTV will provide access to the best in entertainment to participating RMHC Chapters nationwide. The recently-launched DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS nonprofit service offering will assist select RMHC Chapters in their mission of remaining focused on serving their residents.
“DIRECTV is extremely proud to be an entertainment supporter of Ronald McDonald House Charities and applauds them on their continued commitment to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and wellbeing of children and their families,” said DIRECTV Chief Executive Officer Bill Morrow. “We’re thrilled to support families nationwide throughout their healthcare journey and to offer meaningful opportunities for DIRECTV employees to demonstrate we care for the communities where we work and live.”
“At RMHC, we serve millions of children and their families each year, providing access to healthcare and enabling family-centered care,” said Joanna Sabato, Chief Marketing and Development Officer at RMHC Global. “We’re incredibly grateful for DIRECTV’s commitment to support our mission and family togetherness through entertainment.”
In addition, DIRECTV is donating Public Service Announcement (PSA) inventory to RMHC through the end of the year on both DIRECTV and DIRECTV STREAM. This will help RMHC raise awareness for its critical mission in DIRECTV customers’ living rooms across the country during the season of giving.
A Culture of Giving
DIRECTV is also encouraging employees nationwide to give back to RMHC year-round through their time, talents, and treasures. Their commitment to care for RMHC was evident earlier in 2022 on DIRECTV Day when the company celebrated its 28th birthday, where several hundred DIRECTV employees volunteered over 750 hours at RMHC Chapters across the U.S.
This holiday season, DIRECTV employees will again bring joy to RMHC families nationwide by delivering the comforts of home through supporting Chapters’ wish lists with budget relieving resources and donations, sending uplifting notes to families, as well as cooking meals for families staying at Ronald McDonald House programs while their children receive care at nearby hospitals.
With today’s news, DIRECTV and RMHC are just beginning to scratch the surface of what the two organizations will accomplish together.
DIRECTV also launched a nationwide initiative designed to support over 1.5 million nonprofit organizations in the U.S. Learn how to get involved.
