Later this month, SHOWTIME Championship Boxing will air another highly anticipated title bout, this time between lightweight strap holders Mikey Garcia (38-0, 30 KOs) and Robert Easter, Jr. (21-0, 14 KOs) in an all-action unification showdown. Easter holds the IBF lightweight title and is ranked 3rd in the division by Ring Magazine. Garcia is the WBC Lightweight title holder and Ring Magazine’s fourth-ranked pound-for-pound champion. Both men hope to consolidate the divisional belts, with their face-off at Staples Center the first step toward the coveted status as ‘undisputed’ king of the lightweight division.
