At this year’s LOVELOUD Festival, artists like Imagine Dragons, Tyler Glenn, Grace, Vanderwaal, Zedd and Mike Shinoda took to the stage in Salt Lake City Utah to a crowd of over 30,000 to spread the message of unconditional love, acceptance and support to LGBTQ+ youth. AT&T THANKS live-streamed the entire event to millions more throughout the world to help Turn Up the Love (AT&T’s sponsored theme for the festival), and displayed several art installations and activities throughout the venue.
AT&T had free phone charging stations and their THANKS Activation Machine onsite, loaded with all sorts of free swag for AT&T customers including sunglasses, mini Bluetooth speakers, phone chargers and six Alexa speakers. All AT&T customers had to do was download the AT&T THANKS App and visit the vending machine anytime during the night to grab their free swag, no strings attached.
AT&T Thanks is a customer appreciation program that exists for the sole purpose of saying thanks to their customers, and the Thanks Activation Machine was a great way to show their appreciation for the thousands of AT&T customers onsite.
“Once they got their free stuff, people loved it,” an AT&T THANKS representative said. “They were ecstatic.”
Giving back and saying thanks was a huge theme of the night – all proceeds from the night went to charities who support the LGBTQ+ community and suicide prevention. But the thanks didn’t end with free swag: AT&T THANKS also sent six sweepstakes winners as VIP guests to the event.
Each of the winners submitted videos of how they are allies of the LGBTQ+ community and how they #TURNUPTHELOVE and LoveLoud every single day. The six winners enjoyed an all-expense paid trip to the festival, including VIP seating, a hotel stay, flight, welcome brunch, VIP access and a meet and greet with the artists and celebrities at the event. The winners, an AT&T Thanks representative said, were all “pretty star-struck,” overwhelmed by the incredible experience. “There’s one,” she said, “who’s a college student and wouldn’t be able to afford to come on her own. These are people who really wanted to be here and maybe couldn’t have otherwise.”
AT&T THANKS also gave out 16 tickets to local allies of the LGBTQ+ community, all to say thanks for being AT&T customers and for helping Turn Up the Love every day as they help spread the message of love and support.
“We’re just here to say thanks to our customers and give back,” an AT&T THANKS representative explained. “Just for being an AT&T customer, we give you all these great benefits.”
AT&T THANKS travels to events throughout the country, spreading love and appreciation to their customers along the way, but AT&T customers receive get free swag right from the AT&T THANKS App – just for being a customer.
