Communities often come together to help provide support or aid to families in need, lending credibility to the saying "it takes a village." This series documents stories of people helping their needy neighbors. In each episode, a desperate family reaches out to other families in search of help for issues that include strained relationships, out-of-control teens and insurmountable financial problems. The families aren't always looking for handouts of money or other material goods -- sometimes, they're just looking for emotional support from their friends.
