Steve Grant (Bokeem Woodbine) is a human detective living in a world where vampires have been trying to integrate themselves into society. As he investigates a series of brutal murders, Grant is paired with Aaron Gray (Adrian Paul), a vampire police officer. During the case, which tests vampire-human relationships, Grant reluctantly befriends Gray, and falls for the glamorous and fanged Lucy Westenra (Bai Ling).
