Up Goes Maisie (1946)

After receiving her diploma from business school, Maisie Ravier (Ann Sothern) finds that her potential employers are more interested in her looks than in her qualifications. So the enterprising young woman gives herself a reverse makeover and gets hired to work for well-meaning inventor Joseph Morton (George Murphy). She's just a secretary, but her job responsibilities considerably expand when she uncovers a plot to steal Morton's top-secret helicopter design.
