Internet is required to stream programming for DIRECTV connected via internet customers. 

For DIRECTV satellite customers, internet is not required but recommended for ease of ordering movies, plus it gives you access to additional on demand pay per view and television shows and allows continued watching during signal loss with SignalSaver.*

For optimal viewing, we recommend a minimum internet speed of 24Mbps.
